COBIS is pleased to announce that the next Student Leadership Weekend will take place at King's College Madrid, 9-11 October 2015.

The Student Leadership Weekend will provide leadership training and life skills for senior pupils. Through interactive activities with trainers and prominent motivational speakers, the students will be presented with opportunities to develop self-awareness, interpersonal skills and life competencies.

The programme will include sessions on:

Personal branding
Presentation and public speaking skills
Creative problem solving
University life skills
And more
Participants:
The conference is open to students, aged 16 and over, from COBIS Member and non-Member schools. Participation is not restricted to students who hold a formal leadership position in the school (e.g. Head Boys, Head Girls, Prefects, etc.)

Programme:
The programme will start on Friday afternoon and finish after lunch on Sunday. In addition to training sessions and workshops, there will be a programed excursion to central Madrid (including lunch in a typical Spanish restaurant) on the Saturday, along with leisure activities for the Friday and Saturday evenings.

Accommodation and Transport:
The delegate fee will include hotel accommodation and airport transfers. All participants will be in shared accommodation in a local hotel.

Teachers/Chaperones:
Participants will be supervised by colleagues from King's College. It is expected that most participants will attend the conference without a teacher. If teachers/chaperones are accompanying pupils, there will be a separate charge for attendance at any elements of the conference. It may not be possible for teachers to attend formal sessions.

Delegate fee:
The delegate fee is €390 per pupil. The delegate fee will include full board and accommodation, conference fees, airport/station transfers, and entrance fees.

Booking:
To book a place, please complete an online booking form by Friday 18 September 2015. Participant places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The maximum number of participants from any single school will be six.
